CLIMAID acquires German Rysta GmbH, and the combined product portfolio is to secure growth in Denmark and in the multi-billion German market for sustainable building management

Danish indoor-climate company Climaid ApS is entering the German market and acquiring German company Rysta GmbH. The potential for Climaid in Germany is considerable, with the market for indoor-climate solutions worth several billion euros in total.
The merger combines two complementary technologies and sets of market insight. The result is a single product programme covering homes, offices and public buildings — throughout their entire lifetime.
Climaid creates a healthier and more sustainable indoor climate based on real-time data and analysis. That means satisfied residents and users — and significant savings in operation and maintenance. The system reduces energy use, predicts the risk of mould and minimises damage from leaks and damp.

CTO Søren Andersen adds: "We use our indoor-climate data for active control of energy systems, for example district heating substations such as the Danfoss ECL 300. That means savings on both heating and maintenance — and a positive business case within the first year."
Rysta has worked with indoor climate and building operations in Germany since 2018 — with a particular focus on energy use and data insight.

The two companies' solutions are brought together on one shared platform that collects data from sensors and external sources and processes it with Climaid's AI algorithms. The result is precise, easy-to-read reports for users, operations staff, administrators and owners — and data that can be used directly for controlling energy systems and documenting sustainability.
The transaction value is not disclosed.
The combined company continues under the Climaid name, which will be rolled out in Germany in early 2026.
